This handkerchief is the result of a collaboration between the MoMu and Sarah De Saint Hubert, inspired by Sarah’s original pieces, and produced in a limited edition in Belgium.

‘La Contemplation’  belongs to a serie of twelve embroidered handkerchiefs created by Sarah de Saint Hubert to accompany each silhouette of her graduation collection at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2002, ‘Les Textures Affectives‘.

Inspired by the work of Louise Bourgeois, this collection delves into the depths of human experience and femininity through clothing – revealing, in its most intimate form, the soul of the one who wears it.
